Alice Korngold, President & CEO, Korngold Consulting LLC, provides strategy advisory services and facilitates leadership strategy retreats for board members and executives from multinational corporations and NGOs. Her areas of expertise are board governance, sustainability/CSR, diversity and inclusion, corporate-NGO partnerships, and measurement and ratings.
- Scales nonprofit board training and matching programs for multinational corporations.
- Conducts benchmarking studies to assess the benefits of nonprofit board service for companies, their employees, nonprofits, and the community.
- Presents webinars and convenings (including at the U.N.) for companies seeking to involve employees on nonprofit boards, particularly to advance diversity and inclusion and the U.N. SDGs.
Korngold is an Advisor to NGO/nonprofit boards to help them achieve transformational change for strategic and financial success and sustainability. Korngold and her team have trained and matched over a thousand business executives and professionals on global, national, and regional boards. She also serves as a juror for the World Environment Center’s annual Gold Medal Award for International Corporate Achievement in Sustainable Development.
Measurement. In one of many measurement projects, Korngold developed the methodology for the Drucker Institute to rank Fortune 250 companies based on their alignment w/ Peter Drucker’s Social Responsibility principles. Author. Korngold authored A Better World, Inc.: How Companies Profit by Solving Global Problems…Where Governments Cannot (Palgrave Macmillan, 2014) and Leveraging Good Will: Strengthening Nonprofits by Engaging Businesses (Jossey-Bass, a Wiley Imprint, 2005). She authored the chapter on “Sustainability and Corporate Governance” in The Handbook of Board Governance: A Comprehensive Guide for Public, Private and Not for Profit Board Members ( Wiley, 2016 and new edition, 2020). She is the co-author of a chapter on “Corporate Volunteerism: Strategic Community Involvement,” in Corporate Philanthropy at the Crossroads (Indiana University Press, 1996).
Visiting Professor. Korngold teaches a course on Sustainability and Corporate Governance for the Masters in Financial Accountability, York University in Toronto, Canada. She also guest lectures at Harvard and other universities worldwide.
Social entrepreneur. Prior to establishing her global consulting firm in New York in 2005, Korngold founded and ran two highly successful and financially self-sustaining social enterprises.
Speaker. Korngold is a plenary speaker, moderator, and panelist at conferences worldwide.

Education. Korngold received a B.A. in history and an M.S.Ed. in psychological services from the University of Pennsylvania.
